Two Peas in a Pod began as a simple idea by the original founders, Ash and Mareike – to create a little extra space for visiting family. What started as a practical solution quickly grew into something much more meaningful. Inspired by the surrounding native bush, they set out to design a unique, sustainable retreat that allows guests to truly unwind in nature.

The pods were purpose-built here in New Zealand by PODLIFE NZ, with great care taken to preserve the natural environment. With a truly special touch, the pods were even flown in by helicopter with the help of Kahu NZ to minimize impact on the land and create the peaceful sanctuary you see today. After two years of dedication, Two Peas in a Pod was officially established in 2023.

Today, we’re proud to continue their vision. We are Pilgrim and Cheryll, the new owners of Two Peas in a Pod. As a New Zealand family-run business, we feel incredibly privileged to carry on this story and welcome guests to our secluded retreat, tucked away on Mt. Kaukau in Wellington’s beautiful Khandallah suburb. We look forward to hosting you and sharing this special place with you.

Booking & Payment Policy

  • Bookings are fully refundable up to 7 days prior to your stay.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival are non-refundable.
  • A 50% deposit is charged at the time of booking, with the remaining 50% automatically charged three (3) days before your stay.

All payments are securely processed via Stripe, using bank-grade encryption to ensure your information is fully protected.

House Rules

To help preserve the peaceful retreat experience for all guests, we kindly ask that you note the following:

  • Each pod accommodates a maximum of two guests. Children may be considered by prior arrangement only.
  • To maintain the tranquillity of our surroundings, quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am.
  • Visitors are not permitted unless arranged in advance.
  • No pets are allowed on the property.
  • Smoking is not permitted inside or around the pods.
  • Any damage to the pod or its contents will be charged accordingly.
